I arrived at the family home on the morning of the wedding for the bridal preparation photographs.

I then took the short walk to the church and met up with the groom and his best man.

After the ceremony we all headed to Fanhams Hall where the drinks reception and wedding party was taking place. Fanhams Hall has two areas for weddings, we were in the pavilion which is great for photos especially during the speeches as there is a lot of natural light.

After some group photographs we headed off for the romantic shoot and utilised some of the many great locations available at Fanhams Hall.

We all headed in for the wedding breakfast and the speeches.

As the evenings are getting longer there was opportunity for more photographs outside.

As the time at the church was quite tight we did some extra shots with the boys.

I had a great day photographing Kelly and Dan’s wedding, they then had their first dance, and there was also an amazing sunset which we just had to get!

Just back from honeymoon, your photos look great! Jen and Ian (Bride and Groom)

For weddings with under 130 guests I prefer to shoot alone, and I am often asked if it would be easier with a second photographer. Personally I don’t think it would. I have a set method of doing things and I am able to capture both the formal aspect and the candid, natural moments. I arrived at the brides home for the bridal preparations. The hair and make up was being done by Gail (www.gailgardner.co.uk) and the flowers were by Leanne Fisher (www.facebook.com/flowersby.leanne).

I then headed to the church in North Weald and caught up with the groom and the boys.

After a very brief rain shower, it wasn’t long until the girls arrived.

After a few photographs at the church we headed to Blake Hall.

As the weather looked unsettled we headed straight down to the gardens for some romantic photographs.

Only a few minutes into our shoot and it started to hail! Good job we took the umbrella!

The hail shower left as quickly as it arrived and we continued our photo tour.

The bridal party joined us at the rose garden for a few photographs.

It was then time for the meal followed by the speeches.

This time of year we have the benefit of evening light after the meal followed by the possibility of a gorgeous sunset.

Everyone then danced the night away. This was only a very small selection of photographs from Jen and Ian’s special day, but it gives you an idea of the coverage I shoot.

I went to the brides home on the morning of the wedding to capture the bridal preparations.

The ceremony was taking place at the church in Bobbingworth which is only a minute away from Blake Hall.

The bridal party and some guests arrived on a big red London bus.

After a few candid photos at the church we all headed to Blake Hall for the drinks reception.

I took the couple off to the gardens for the romantic shoot utilising the magnificent grounds at Blake Hall.

Then we had some formal group photographs with the bridal party in the rose garden.

It was then time for the meal and the speeches.

After the speeches I took the couple to my favourite spot for capturing sunsets!

After the cutting of the cake, the couple had their first dance which was played in by their live band.

Finally a much warmer February wedding day with optimism for some sunshine. I arrived at Down Hall where the bride was getting ready.

I met up with the boys for some photographs and the sun was already shining.

The rooms are quite large and great for pre-wedding photographs.

It wasn’t long before it was time for the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony we all headed outside for some formal photographs.

I then took the couple around the grounds at Down Hall for their romantic shoot.

Although my main focus is taking the photographs, I always try to make sure the couple also have time to enjoy the reception and can socialise. Mark Greatbatch (www.yourweddingtoastmaster.co.uk) was their toastmaster and he did a fab job as usual, and was especially helpful during the formal photographs.

The wedding cake looked amazing and was by Cake Cuisine @ Hatfield Heath.

The lighting and musical entertainment was provided by Lovelight Entertainment (www.lovelightentertainment.com) who I have worked alongside many times and they are the best at lighting venues to amaze your guests.

It was a cold winters day and there was rain in the air. I met up with the bride who was getting ready in the farm house.

The couple had the smaller of the two barns at Tewin Bury Farm which the perfect size for their wedding party.

I caught up with the guys for a few shots before the ceremony.

The bride looked absolutely stunning.

After the ceremony we all headed back to the farm house for the drinks reception.

In between showers we did manage to get a few family group photographs outside as well as the romantic shoot with the couple.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

After the cutting of the cake we popped outside for a couple of night-lit shots.

Ken Mercer (kenmercermusic.com) who had been playing before the ceremony and during the drinks reception also played the couples first dance.

After the first dance there was also a live band.

We left Down Hall and headed on to the church.

The ceremony was taking place at a church in Epping.

We then headed back to Down Hall, and Resident Toastmaster, Mark Greatbatch (www.yourweddingtoastmaster.co.uk) was there to welcome everyone.

As the rain was heading our way we headed straight out for the romantic shoot and it wasn’t long before the umbrellas came out.

We headed indoors for some family photographs before the meal.

It was then time to cut the cake which was lit up beautifully by DJ’s Lovelight Entertainment (www.lovelightentertainment.com).

The rain had stopped so we popped outside for a couple of night lit photos.

The ceremony was taking place in the village of Aston at the local church where I met up with the boys. The weather was looking promising.

After the ceremony we all took the short journey to Walkern Hall where I have photographed before. It is a lovely wedding venue in an idilic location with some great locations for wedding photographs.

After some group photographs and candid shots I then took the couple around the grounds for the romantic selection.

It was then time for the wedding meal, followed by the speeches and cutting of the cake. That signalled the start of the evening party.

We popped outside for a few nightlit shots.

We all headed to Crondon Park for the wedding ceremony and reception.

After some family group photographs and candid guest shots I took the bride and groom for their romantic photo-shoot utilising the grounds at Crondon Park.

The guests were all waiting for the bride and groom with a special balloon release. A bit different from the traditional confetti shot and I did enjoy capturing it.

It was a nice surprise to see Amy and Greg who’s wedding I photographed earlier in the year.

After the speeches there was an amazing sunset and the bride and groom couldn’t resist.

The evening’s entertainment began with the cutting of the cake and ofcourse the first dance.

We had time for a big group photograph before we all headed inside for the wedding breakfast.

After the meal I took the couple out for some special evening light photographs.

After some evening entertainment with their singer it was then time for the cutting of the cake.

It was great to see Katie and Craig, who’s wedding I photographed a couple of years before.

The couple then had their first dance.
