I arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony and met up with the bride who was getting ready at the Hilton London Euston Hotel (http://www.hilton.co.uk/euston) across the street from BMA House.

I also took some pre-wedding photographs with the boys who had arrived at the venue.

It was then time for the bride to make her way to the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony drinks were served and I took some casual shots before taking the formal group photographs.

I then took the couple for some romantic shots utilising the grounds at BMA House (http://www.bmahouse.org.uk). The venue itself is fantastic with great private outdoor locations and also some fabulous indoor backdrops! The staff at BMA House were very helpful and also friendly which always helps.

We were then called for the meal and ofcourse the speeches and cutting of the cake.

The evening celebrations began and I took casual guest shots and then the first dance.

There was one more shot I had to take before I left.

I arrived at the brides family home nice and early to capture all of the getting ready shots, hair, make-up and accessories. I was working alongside videographer Dave from BVS Digital (www.bvsdigital.net) who I have worked with before.

I then left the girls and met up with the groom at the church in Aythorpe Roding. He had arrived in a sports car, a special surprise from his family. Apparently the car was identical to the Mustang called “Eleanor” in the hit film “Gone in 60 seconds”…

I captured some guest arrival shots before capturing the brides arrival.

The Revd at Aythorpe Roding Church really doesn’t approve of photographers and certainly doesn’t allow any photography (even without flash) during the ceremony as I found out. Unfortunately this meant that I wasn’t able to capture those special moments in the church. Normally I would capture the exchanging of rings, the marriage vows, any special readings, that first kiss and all the emotions surrounding it. It is definitely worth checking with your church before you get married to find out if they have any rules regarding photography so not to disappoint. After the ceremony I took a few group shots outside and then the confetti.

We then moved on to the Reid Rooms which is an absolutely fantastic wedding venue (www.thereidrooms.co.uk) where I took the main group shots, some romantic photos and candid guest shots.

You cant plan for everything, but it is great when moments like this happen… the bride had a butterfly theme and one landed on her head.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast to commence, and of course the speeches.

The evening party began and it was time for the first dance and the musical entertainment was provided by my good friends at Piano DJ (www.pianodj.co.uk) and a great job they did too. (Their lighting during the dance was fantastic, thanks guys!)

I met the bride at the hair salon near to the family home. It had been a rather wet night, but the rain was beginning to show signs of stopping.

We then returned to the house where the girls got ready.

I also caught up with the boys who weren’t far away.

It was then time to make our way to the Bishop’s Stortford Registry Office where the ceremony took place.

After the ceremony we changed the plan slightly and made use of the park across the road for some group photographs as we were unsure how long it would remain dry.

We then returned back to the family home for a drinks reception and an outdoor blessing.

Then everyone made their way down the street to the reception venue, the Rhodes Arts Complex (www.rhodesbishopsstortford.org.uk)

It was then time for the meal followed by the cutting of the cake.

After the meal I took lots of portraits of the guests and also the new arrivals for the evening party. I found a great location with lots of greenery and natural backlighting as the sun started to set.

It was then time for the first dance and the evening party started.

I had a great time photographing Hayley and Matt’s Wedding and luckily it did remain dry for most of the day!

I arrived at the bride’s home on the morning of the wedding in the mountain village of Scheid high above the village of Tomils. There I took the pre-wedding photographs and the girls getting ready.

I then went to the church in Tomils and took some shots with the groom before the brides arrival.

The bridesmaids and the bride arrived. They took the walk up the steps to the church, I had some ideas for using the steps later in the day.

After the ceremony there was a greeting party outside the church with sunflowers and throwing sweets.

I then stopped everyone on the steps for a big group shot before the apres was served.

After the drinks reception, it was time to take the journey to Bergün, but there was a little surprise in store for the couple.

The tractor took the couple through the village and then they got in the car as we had a couple of stops to make for some special photographs.

We then arrived at the hotel in Bergün called the Hotel Kurhaus for the evening party including the speeches, the meal and the evenings entertainment.

I had a truely amazing time photographing Sonja and Matthias’ wedding.

I arrived at the brides home in time to catch some shots of the hair and make-up. The flowers were arranged by Stacey – Designer Flowers (www.staceystevens.co.uk)

After taking a few formal shots of the bridal party in the garden I moved on to catch up with the guys at the church.

It was then time for the wedding ceremony and the brides entrance. The Vicar at St. Mary-at-Latton Church (www.stmary-at-latton.net) was very accomodating and I had the perfect position for photographs throughout.

After the signing I took some formal group shots outside the church and of course the confetti before we all headed to Gaynes Park for the wedding reception.

Gaynes Park is an amazing wedding venue and each time I photograph a wedding there I find something new as a backdrop – see further down this page for photos of an area they call “long walk”. I took lots of casual shots of the drinks reception and then took the large family group photographs.

As time had been quite short before the ceremony I took some shots with the boys.

A little later I took the couple around the grounds for a romantic shoot.

We then headed back for the wedding meal which I must say was fantastic!

After the speeches I headed back outside and took lots of portraits as it was a gorgeous evening.

I then remembered seeing an article a couple of weeks ago on Gaynes Park facebook page which mentioned an area known as “long walk” and asked the couple if they would like to take a look. We didn’t have to go far at all to find some really great backdrops and even a pond. (Since speaking with Liselle at Gaynes Park it turns out that I found a different location, farmers lane… so Long walk will be my quest next time I return to Gaynes Park – I was very happy with the farmers lane)

It was then time for the cutting of the cake and the first dance.

There was a corner of the venue which seemed very popular with the ladies…

Just before it was time to leave I notice a lovely sunset and asked the couple if they would like one last picture.

I had a really fun day with Laura and James, and it was lovely to return to Gaynes Park again.

We arrived at the Reid Rooms quite early as the day was going to consist of two wedding ceremonies, the civil ceremony and the Hindu ceremony. We also captured some shots of the blessing of the mandap. We captured the pre-wedding and getting ready shots.

It was then time for the civil ceremony.

After the ceremony we captured some casual shots as well as the formal group photographs.

During the buffet lunch we borrowed the bride and groom for a couple of romantic photographs and the Reid Rooms has some stunning locations in the grounds.

It was time for the couple to go and get changed for the Hindu ceremony and the groom entered the courtyard first playing a flute.

The brides family greeted the groom and the priest performed some blessings, meanwhile the bride was getting ready.

It was time for the brides entrance and the ceremony began.

The groom had to pay to get his shoes back.

After the ceremony we took some more group shots as everyone had changed into Indian dress, and then took the couple for a couple of special photographs as well as lots of portraits of the guests.

It was then time for the main wedding meal. All the catering on the day was provided by Indus Catering (www.induscatering.co.uk) and I must say the food was very good!

We then covered the speeches, the cutting of the cake and ofcourse the first dance.

We had an amazing day photographing Emma and Dharmendra’s day. If you are planning your Hindu wedding and would like a photographer please get in touch. I do have to insist on having two photographers at events like this as there is so much going on and it is a much longer shoot due to the two ceremonies.

The wedding took place late afternoon, so arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony time and took some pre-wedding photos of the bride, bridesmaids, family and all the accessories.

The groom and the guests were all waiting at the near by pub so I popped along for a couple of candid shots.

It was nearly time for the ceremony so I headed back to the house to capture the brides arrival as she was walking to the church, St Mary the Virgin, Hatfield Broadoak.

Reverend Naomi Wormell was very accomodating and I took my position near the front to capture the expression of the service.

It was then time to take some casual shots and also the formal group photographs.

I was very pleased to be working alongside Tony Smith, Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies (www.essexweddingtoastmaster.co.uk) as he was extremely helpful with the group photographs and people organisation which meant I could take the photographs nice and quickly. He was also looking after the guests and making sure they made it back to the reception.

The reception took place back at the parents house in a marquee which did look great!

If you are planning your wedding I would definitely recommend having a toastmaster as they really do ensure the day runs smoothly and to time. Tony is a member of The English Toastmasters Association (www.englishtoastmasters.co.uk). We then took the couple for a short walk to the church gardens to take some romantic shots as the lighting was amazing.

We got back in plenty of time for the receiving line and wedding breakfast. Tony announced each guest to the couple and certainly kept everyone smiling.

My day was nearly complete but there were a couple more shots I wanted to take, and they were worth the wait. I had an awesome day photographing Katy and Gary’s wedding and her smile was infectious!

I met up with the bride who was having her hair and makeup done at a local hotel.

We then took the short journey to Gaynes Park where the rest of the pre-wedding photographs were taking place. The flowers arrived and looked gorgeous, they were supplied by Lily & May Floral Design (http://www.lilyandmay.co.uk).

I also met up with the boys when they arrived.

It was soon time for the wedding ceremony and ofcourse the bride’s entrance. At Gaynes Park there is a lovely walk through for the bride to enter the ceremony in the orangery.

After the ceremony I took some casual photographs of the drinks reception and then the formal group shots. The couple had Ted Prior the toastmaster (http://www.toastmaster-tedprior.com) assisting them with their day and he was fantastic at organising the guests. I would always recommend the benefits of having a toastmaster to couples as they keep everything running smoothly.

After the confetti shot, I borrowed the couple for some romantic photographs utilising the wonderful grounds at Gaynes Park and luckily for us the weather stayed fair.

It was then time for the receiving line and the serving of the meal in the Gaynes Park Barn.

After the meal came the speeches.

Ted also kept everyone entertained too with some age old traditions.

As it was such a nice evening I took the couple for some more photographs and the view from the drive at Gaynes Park is amazing, you can just make out the Central London skyline in the background.

The evening party kicked off with the throwing of the bouquet and the cutting of the wedding cake.

It was then time to capture the first dance. I really enjoyed photographing Samantha and Stuart’s wedding and they were such a fun couple to work with.

I arrived at Prested Hall and the forecast was mixed, I popped across the carpark to the beauty salon where the bride and the bridesmaid were having their make up done.

We then went back to the bridal suite at Prested Hall where I continued the pre-wedding photographs.

The boys were also getting ready at Prested Hall.

It was then time for the brides arrival and the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony was the drinks reception which took place outside as the weather was looking to stay fair. I took casual shots of the guests mingling and then did the traditional group photographs.

I then took the couple around the grounds for some romantic shots. I had to turn some of these into black and white’s as they looked so striking.

It was then time for the wedding meal and also the speeches.

The couple then cut their wedding cake.

The evening’s entertainment started with a guitar playing duo and they did some great covers including my particular favourite of “The Foo Fighters – Everlong”.

The couple then had their traditional first dance.

I captured a few more shots of the evening party and my story telling was complete. I really enjoyed my time with Tammy and James as it was a great occassion.

I arrived on a very wet morning, but we weren’t going to let the weather dampen the mood. The family dog had given birth to her litter only a couple of days before the wedding, so I had to get a couple of shots.

I captured all the pre-wedding moments and all the accessories.

The boys were getting ready in the house next door and then popped to the village pub.

It was then time for the bride to leave for the church.

The reverend was very accommodating and I was able to take my usual spot upfront to capture the ceremony.

After the ceremony we returned to the family home for the reception and they had a fantastic marquee set up on the tennis courts. The rain had slightly eased off and we were able to capture some photographs outside.

After taking some traditional group photographs at the church, we finished with a couple more in the garden.

I then borrowed the couple for a few minutes to have some romantic shots around the garden.

It was then time for afternoon tea served in the marquee, which led on to the speeches. The catering was handled by The Wedding Catering Co. (www.wedding-catering.info) and the cakes were very nice.

Keeping with tradition, it was then time for the cutting of the cake.

I capture lots of casual shots throughout the day and finished with the first dance.

I really enjoyed my time photographing Clair and Matthew’s special day and there was just one last surprise to take place.
