Wedding photography image rights and copying?

A few years ago, before the age of digital, all photography was taken using film and negatives.

The photographer would always hold onto the negatives and therefore hold on to the copyright as there was only ever one set of negs. At the time this was also seen as a very lucrative position to be in as reselling to the couple, the family and friends was making a good return.

The Booking Season

I don’t know about you, but I am always a little anxious during the summer months as wedding bookings are sparse and as we all know on the decline a little each year. But as always, we run into August and early September and sure enough all the advertising, marketing and word of mouth starts to rub off! Phew!
