Wedding Photography at The Lawn in Rochford, Essex
September 6, 2009 on 5:35 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | 2 CommentsOn Friday I photographed Donna and Craig’s wedding at The Lawn in Rochford, Essex, you may recall I photographed a wedding there back in June.
I arrived a little bit early which gave me time to take a look around before taking some shots of the bride and bridal party getting ready.
I also captured lots of the accessories and then caught up with the boys.
We had some fun and the guys all played along too.
I managed to take some more casual shots before capturing the ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone relaxed with some drinks and I took candid shots and then it was time for the group photographs.
A bit later in the afternoon I took the couple around the grounds at The Lawn for some romantic photographs.
The Lawn is a great venue as it has some lovely locations inside and out.
We really did make the most of the location and the romantic shoot didn’t take long either.
We then went inside as it was nearly time for the meal.
After a lovely meal, I captured the speeches and the cutting of the cake.
I saw the flower girl walking in garden and had to grab this shot.
The children definitely played a big part in the wedding celebrations and I made sure I got lots of photographs of them for the couple. It was then time for the first dance.
I really enjoyed photographing Donna and Craig’s wedding and if you would like me to photograph yours then please do get in touch. The was one last shot to take before I left.

Wedding Photography at The Gables Hotel in Falfield, near Bristol
September 1, 2009 on 7:28 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | 2 CommentsOn Friday I photographed a wedding at The Gables Hotel in Falfield, between Bristol and Gloucester for Donna and Lee. I normally photograph weddings in Hertfordshire and Essex but am also happy to travel a bit further a field.
Friday started off very wet first thing and the forecast was a bit mixed. I arrived at The Gables Hotel nice and early where the bride and the groom were getting ready, on separate floors…
I captured some pre-wedding shots of both the bride and the groom, aswell as capturing all the accessories too.
I captured the brides arrival walk and the ceremony throughout, the registrars were very accomodating.
As there aren’t any gardens at the hotel itself the couple had arranged a location for some romantic shots and when I saw it I was bowled away!
The house was only a few minutes drive from the hotel and made an excellent location for a photoshoot and the couple looked great.
The Gables Hotel have an agreement with the owner of the property, so a few wedding couples are lucky enough to utilise this.
There was a walled garden at the side of the house, the back had a veiw towards the lake and there was a huge front garden with trees, a pond and a little bridge. I tried a few moody looking shots in black and white and was really pleased with my results.
After a few more shots we then headed back for the group shots with the guests and some casual moments.
After the meal I captured the speeches, the cutting of the cake and ofcourse the first dance.
The weather had stayed dry all day and there was a sunset moment to savour too.
After the first dance there was an excellent live band playing called ‘The Reacharounds’(http://www.thereacharounds.co.uk), they were great and did some great covers of popular hits, but in a new age rock style.
I had great fun photographing Donna and Lee’s wedding day! If you would like me to capture yours then please visit my website for more information. There was one last shot to get before I left…
