Wedding Photography at Creeksea Place, Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex
August 25, 2009 on 1:30 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | 2 CommentsOn Saturday I photographed this wedding for Nicole and Tim which took place at The Five Lakes Hotel, Maldon and then on to Creeksea Place, Burnham-on-crouch in Essex. I had the company of Steve on this job as a second photographer.
We arrived at the Five Lakes Hotel, Golf and Country Club nice and early, while Steve went to follow the guys, I covered the brides pre-wedding moments.
The bride, her mum and the bridesmaids all looked fantastic!
I took lots of natural photographs aswell as some lovely portraits.
The Five Lakes Hotel has got some lovely gardens and also great reception area which I utilised for photo opportunities.
Meantime Steve was already at Creeksea Place capturing the groom and best men. I then took the 40 minute journey to Creeksea Place to capture the brides arrival and the ceremony.
Creeksea Place is a lovely wedding venue with some amazing grounds, a beautiful stately home and the views are perfect!
After the ceremony it was time for some group shots and the setting was ideal.
After a short break enabling the couple to mingle and chat with their guests, we took them for some romantic shots down by an old bridge at the bottom of the garden.
Just enough time for a few more shots before everyone went in for the meal.
After the meal I borrowed the couple for a few minutes as I’d noticed an old gate which looked interesting.
I then captured the cutting of the cake and the first dance. I must say the marquee looked excellent!
We had a great time photographing Nicole and Tim’s special day and there was time for one last night shot using the floodlights at Creeksea Place. My thanks must also go to Anabel the wedding coordinator at Creeksea Place and also Christina the owner who were really helpful on the day and kept us looked after. Wedding Photography at Sopwell House Hotel and Sandridgebury Farm, near St Albans in Herts
August 19, 2009 on 12:23 am | In Customer Weddings Revealed | 2 CommentsOn Saturday I photographed a wedding for Martha and Nick at Sopwell House Hotel near St Albans, St Mary’s Church in Welwyn Village and Sandridgebury Farm near St Albans. Both the bride and groom were getting ready at Sopwell House Hotel, and it is a super venue for wedding photography.
While the bride was getting ready I captured some shots with the groom and the boys.
There are some great gardens at Sopwell House Hotel including a Japanese garden with a pond and red bridge.
The boys then left for the church and it was time to meet up with the bride for some photographs, and she did look fabulous!
There are some small cottages at the hotel which can be used for getting ready, and they are surrounded by lovely gardens too.
We then took the short drive to St Mary’s Church in Welwyn Village. I spoke with the Priest to find out the rules for photography during the service. Unfortunately I had to photograph from the rear of the church which did mean I couldn’t capture the expression through-out the vows from the front but I did get a nice shot of the bride’s entrance.
After capturing the signing of the registry and some group shots outside the church I then had some time to get some more natural and casual shots.
After a few more shots it was time to take the journey to Sandridgebury Farm.
The couple had a large marquee in a field and it did look amazing.
I found a nice location to take the large group shots and then went back into candid mode.
I saw a group of kids sat on the fence and had to take a shot of it.
It was time for the wedding meal, the cutting of the cake, the speeches and ofcourse the first dance.
Although there wasn’t a sunset, there was a very dramatic sky with a tint of colour.
I had great fun photographing Martha and Nick’s wedding day. If you would like me to photograph your wedding, please get in touch.

An RT Wedding is featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine Issue 73
August 18, 2009 on 11:32 pm | In Wedding Shows and Magazines | No CommentsI was very surprised and happy to find out that one of my weddings had been featured in the September 2009 issue 73 of Wedding Ideas Magazine (on page 80-81). I had previously heard of the publication but never submitted any of my photographs to them before. The bride Emma was so pleased with the photographs I took for her, she got in touch with the magazine independently and I was so happy she did!
Feel free to read the blog article I wrote about Emma and Neil’s wedding day last year or the full magazine article below.
