Wedding Photography at Leez Priory near Chelmsford, Essex
November 29, 2008 on 4:46 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | 1 CommentLast season I photographed this wedding for Emma and Elliot which took place at Leez Priory near Chelmsford in Essex (www.brideshead.co.uk). It was a crisp wintery day but did stay bright, but with a real chill in the air.

Leez Priory is a very impressive wedding venue which stunning buildings and beautiful looking grounds.

After capturing the pre-wedding moments I took my usual position during the ceremony which was up the front to enable me to capture the emotions and expression throughout. The ceremony room in Leez Priory is in the Tudor Great Tower adjacent to the main house.

Making the most of the dry weather we did manage to grab some shots outside although didn’t keep everyone stood around too long as it was quite chilly. I particularly like using doorways and archways for some really arty looking shots.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast and I must say the food at Leez Priory is fantastic!

After the meal and speeches there was a firework display and then the first dance.

I really enjoyed photographing Emma and Elliots wedding day. If you would like to know more about RT Weddings and interested in me photographing your wedding day then please get in touch.

The New RT Weddings Logo
November 19, 2008 on 6:35 pm | In General Information | Comments OffAfter almost two years of trading as RT Weddings I have finally found the time to improve the logo. I wanted the new logo to reflect my values and make a statement which is modern, casual, friendly, professional and easily recogniseable. I felt the previous logo was too modern, corporate and techy looking and simply didn’t reflect those values.
Below is a mock up of how my next advert will look. I am always striving to improve RT Weddings in all aspects of the business, from the composition of my photography to the technology that can assist me in my workflow with the aim to producing the best quality and value for money service that I can.

Wedding Photography at Stoke Place in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire
November 18, 2008 on 8:15 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | No CommentsI was very pleased to be invited back to Stoke Place in Stoke Poges near Slough for my second wedding there of the season. This wedding for Jenny and Darren took place quite late on a Sunday afternoon in November. You may recall my last wedding at Stoke Place in back in August and Jenny contacted me after reading my blog article. Although I did take some pre-wedding shots outside the majority of work was taken indoors as it was dark by 4.30pm. This time Steve came and assisted me as the 2nd photographer and we certainly made a great team on the day.
Stoke Place is an ideal wedding venue for a winter wedding and has many indoor locations which suit an indoor wedding. Having also photographed a wedding back in the summer mainly utilising the outsides and the grounds, this wedding gave me an opportunity to utilise more of the interior.
All of the photography took place at the venue itself and the rain cleared for a few minutes enabling a quick set of shots with the groom and the boys.
The ceremony started at around 4pm and the ambient lighting really did add to the warm, cosy atmosphere of the wedding.
We had just enough time and light to take one aerial group shot of all the wedding guests before moving back inside to continue the group shots.
We had some fun taking the group photographs and everyone seemed happy to participate which is always good.
We couldn’t miss out the traditional confetti shots and also made use of some of the other locations inside the venue for a few romantic shots.
I always like to utilise the stairs whenever possible and with Steve assisting we also managed to take some of the camera flash shots outside, capturing natural ambient light from the background and using some side flash to lighten the couple.
We then moved on to the greeting line and my shooting of the grooms shoulder I managed to capture some great expressions as the guests entered the main hall for the wedding breakfast.
After capturing the speeches it was time to cut the cake and on to the first dance.
As part of my service I also offer evening portraits using my mobile studio set up. The couple and their guests took full advantage of this after all, it all adds to the couples wedding photographs.
I really enjoyed photographing Jenny and Darren’s wedding day and once again it was good working alongside Steve. If you would like me to photograph your wedding or would like a dual photographer service then please give me call.
