From Wanstead to Chigwell

On Saturday I photographed the last of my Summer weddings for Charlotte and Peter and it took place at Christchurch, Wanstead and then on to Metropolitan Police Chigwell Sports Club in Chigwell. It was quite a cold and windy day, but luckily managed to stay dry until the evening.

As wedding photographer in Herts and Essex, I made sure that I arrived at the bride’s leaving location nice and early, and everyone was calm, friendly and relaxed, including the bride! I captured some of the details and accessories before taking Charlotte and her bridesmaids outside for some formal shots.

I was really pleased to capture the next shot which occurred naturally as the bridesmaids where watching whilst I was taking some shots of the bride on her own. I then took a few steps back and think it really does add to the story.

I left the bridal party and went onward to the church to meet up with the boys. The Rector was very helpful, friendly and allowed me to photograph throughout the service.

I also managed to squeeze in one of my signature shots.

The couple requested that I took all the formal group shots back at the wedding venue in the secret garden, but I did manage to get a few of the confetti and with the wedding car before we moved on.

I managed to get the group shots completed very quickly, which was just as well because the weather had turned quite cold and the wind had picked up a little.

As with the majority of my weddings, I stay right through to the first dance. This allows me to capture some of the expressions through out, especially during the speeches. I also found a lovely staircase in the main building at the venue and couldn’t resist.

The party continued throughout the evening and I captured the cutting of the cake and the first dance as well as setting up my portrait area.

I had a great time with Charlotte and Peter. There was one more request before I left, which was a group shot of the boys who had been on Peter’s stag weekend. If you would like me to photograph your wedding then please get in touch by visiting my website.
