Wedding at the Grange

After my trip away photographing a wedding in Sorrento, I was quickly back to photographing another wedding, this time in Middlesex. As a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire I am always happy to travel out of area for my commissions and this one for Janice and Steven started at the Premier Inn, Wembley Park.

I arrived nice and early because you never know how bad the traffic will be around Wembley on a Saturday morning, on the plus side this also meant I could capture lots of pre-wedding shots.

The ceremony took place at the Methodist Church, Park Lane, Wembley and was just minutes away from the Premier Inn. The bride was ofcourse stylishly late, keeping the groom on his toes!

The Reverend taking the ceremony was Bob Pritchard and was very accommodating with regards to photography during the service. I was able to move around between readings and capture lots of angles and close ups.

After the ceremony we all headed off to the reception which was being held at the Grange Country House, Northwood, about 40 minutes away. The couple had use of the house, the gardens, as well as a large marquee where the wedding breakfast took place.

Once all the guests had arrived I completed the traditional group shots in record timing, to ensure it was just in time for the receiving line and serving up time, (as an earlier delay had unfortunately shortened the photography window). This wasn’t too much of a problem because with all my weddings I photograph beyond the speeches, right through to the first dance.

I do enjoy capturing the natural photographs as they really do tell the story of the wedding day.

Just before leaving I noticed an uplit archway at the side of the house and couldn’t resist taking a couple of romantic shots with Janice and Steven.
