A Wedding at Stoke Place

As a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire I was really pleased to get the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Stoke Place in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire for Charlene and Marc. The couple originally found me in Your Herts and Beds Wedding Magazine and really like the natural and casual feel of my photographs.

Stoke Place boasts some fabulous grounds and was a great setting for the wedding. There is a large green overlooked by the country house and it’s all surrounded by trees and a lake. We all had a great time on the day and as per all my weddings this was an all day service, from 2 hours prior to the ceremony, right through to the first dance.

All the boys looked very smart, and with their help I tried a few new shots which I’d seen in a magazine.

The wedding ran smoothly, and as I’m there all day, it meant there was no panicking or rushing around to ensure all the photographs were taken.

Between the end of the meal and the first dance I set up my mobile portrait area where everyone could come and have photographs taken and these are added to the couples collection.

Again I do try and capture natural expressions and have a bit of fun to make some great looking photographs. I think it’s important to make my customers feel at ease and not make the photography a chore.

I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with Charlene and Marc right through to the first dance. If you would like me to photograph your wedding then please get in touch. Please note that I am getting booked up for next season so contact me to hold a date for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Wedding Photography at Channels Golf Club near Chelmsford, Essex

As a wedding photographer in Essex I was lucky enough to photograph this wedding which took place at St. Edwards Church, Romford and Channel’s Golf Club, near Chelmsford for Natalie and Paul. The groom spared no expensive to arrive in style with this down market vehicle, which even broke down on the way to the church, I think Del Boy would have been proud! It was great!

I started my day photographing at the bride’s home, then on to the church to capture the arrival and ceremony. I couldn’t resist getting a few more shots after the ceremony of the bride and groom with the little 3 wheeler which somehow seemed to over shadow the main wedding car with it’s originality, and yes, it was market day in Romford, “Luvly Jubbly”!

We then made our way from Romford, up the A12 to Chelmsford, where Channel’s Golf Club is situated. This made a great location for the formal group shots and the romantic shoot with the bride and groom.

Again, I managed to defeat the promise of bad weather as it stayed bright and sunny for most of the day. The reception took place in the beautiful, authentic barn which really did give a warm feeling to the indoor shots, especially during the speeches.

From the expression on this young chap’s face, the chocolate profiteroles were a big hit, and I couldn’t resist grabbing the snap!

As I stay at the wedding for the duration, right up to the first dance, it does mean that there is an opportunity to grab some more romantic shots as sun starts to go down, and we really made the most of this venue!

I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Natalie and Paul right through to the evening celebrations. If you would like me to photograph your wedding then please get in touch. Please note that I am starting to get booked up for next season, so time may be running out. I look forward to hearing from you.

Having Butterflies about your wedding day?

August 19, 2008 on 5:10 pm | In General Information | Comments Off

Whilst photographing a wedding on Sunday at Braxted Park it was quickly apparent that the Bride liked the idea of Butterflies as a theme on her wedding day and she had really gone to some effort with it.

I made sure I captured all of the finer details at the wedding which simbolised the couples day, knowing that they will make great background fades for their album.

Wanting to add my creative skills to the mix and making sure go the extra mile for the couple I spent some time whilst everyone was at the wedding breakfast to take these stunning shots which certainly did add to their theme.

As I work on digital I was able to quickly show the Bride and she was absolutely delighted with them.
