Wedding Photography at Theobalds Park near Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
July 30, 2008 on 10:21 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | No CommentsI had back to back weddings on Friday and Saturday last week and this is the first. As a wedding photographer for Herts and Essex I was lucky enough to photograph this one for Alex and David which took place at Theobalds Park, near Cheshunt.
Theobalds Park is an excellent venue with lots to offer, from amazing rooms to beautiful grounds. As it was warm and sunny the wedding ceremony took place outside and it meant I could get up close and personal to capture some great expressions throughout.
I took lots of details and accessories shots as per usual and here are but a few. I was working alongside a very friendly Videographer, Christopher Kennedy (www.chvideo.co.uk).
From the bride getting ready, the boys having fun, the brides entrance and to them being happily married, I was there for it all.
The couple found some time to relax and reflect on their wonderful day not realising they had a photographer capturing it too.
Another successful day and a happy couple! The evening reception was a fun occassion and the disco was handled by Gary Scott (www.themobiledisco.com).

Wedding Photography at Brickendonbury Conference Centre in Hertford, Herts
July 22, 2008 on 3:40 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | No CommentsAs a wedding photographer for the Hertfordshire and Essex area, I photographed another lovely wedding last Saturday for Kirsty and Stuart, which took place at the Bride’s home, at Hertford County Hall and Brickendonbury Conference Centre. The forecast was for rain again, but as luck would have it we avoided most of it throughout the day and were blessed with some beautiful sunshine.
I arrived at the Bride’s home nice and early and took the opportunity of photographing a few details, before the Bride and Bridesmaids were dressed and ready.
I was especially pleased with this shot of the flower girl who was very natural and so easy to photograph.
I left the Brides home with enough time to arrive at the Registry Office and have a quick look around before the Groom, the Best Man and the Ushers arrived. It wasn’t long until the Bride and Bridal Party arrived and the ceremony was underway.
The couple had a gorgeous horse drawn carriage and this really did provide a great photographic opportunity when they arrived at Brickendonbury Conference Centre.
I took the traditional group shots as per the Bride and Grooms requests and then the fun started as I was able to gain access to the balcony at the rear of the venue. It enabled me to take some great angles and the perfect aerial group shot.
I then took the Bride and Groom around the venue and the gardens for a few romantic shots.
It was a joy to work with Kirsty and Stuart, and I wish them every success in the future.

Q&A with RT Weddings
July 18, 2008 on 9:40 am | In Wedding Shows and Magazines | 2 CommentsFor my latest magazine advert I have decided to go for a more informative piece which will make for an interesting read as opposed to just sales jargon. As a wedding photographer based in Hertfordshire and covering Essex, this advert shall appear in An Essex Wedding and Your Herts & Beds Wedding magazines. Here is a snap shot of the advert and below this is the content displayed in a more web friendly way.
How long will you be with us on our wedding day?
As it is an all day service, it means I will be with you from two hours before your wedding ceremony, right through to your first dance.
How many photographs do you take?
As I shoot in digital, there isn’t a specific limit to the number of photographs I take at a wedding. As a rough guide I normally take between 500-700 shots. These will be displayed on a password protected gallery web shop for you, your friends and family.

Wedding photography brings together two of my greatest passions in life, “expression” photography and also creative design. I love what I do as an occupation, and feel very honoured to capture the entire wedding day, knowing that it will be treasured for many years to come. I am also excited by the challenge of new venues and utilising stunning backdrops creating natural and casual looking photographs.
