RT Weddings Website Evolution
June 28, 2008 on 11:26 am | In General Information | Comments OffI am proud to announce my latest website overhaul was successfully finished yesterday evening (27th June 2008). I have kept a similar theme, but made a few design enhancements to fit in with the current branding.
As you can see below it now compliments my printed 3-fold brochures which I use at wedding fairs and for any postal enquiries.
The main enhancement that you will notice is the website has been designed for screen resolution 1024×768 as opposed to all my previous sites were for 800×600. As the majority of web users have a screen resolution of 1024×768 I opted for this as it means the photos I display can be larger and give more impact. Below are the previous 4 evolutions of my website since starting up RT Weddings as a business in order of newest first.
It has take over a year to get the website to a quality that I am now happy with and hope potential customers can now get a much better feel of what I do. I design and develop all my own marketing literature, adverts and website myself as I had many years experience in this field and find these skills essential when designing an album or wedding book for a customer.

Eine Hochzeit in der Schweiz
June 26, 2008 on 5:37 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | Comments OffEine Hochzeit in der Schweiz, or “a wedding in Switzerland” to the non-swiss speaking. Andrea and Reto were an absolutely fantastic couple and lucky for me both spoke excellent english. I was able to use a little of my german too which was fun. The wedding day venue was at a furniture architect showroom called Spectroom which provided a cosy ambience and was superb for their romantic photoshoot.
As you can see below, the wedding was a late one, with the ceremony starting at 4pm and it was probably for the best as it was an extremely hot, sunny day at 32 degrees!
Again looking for the symbolic details as they always add to a good collection of photographs.
The maid of honour provided me with a detailed plan of the day which was really useful as it was my first Swiss wedding and things differed slightly from the ones im used to photographing back in the UK.
During the ceremony there was also a Christening for their son Liam. He was really well behaved and seemed to enjoy the occassion.
After the ceremony there were aperitifs served outside the church and a greeting line-up. The guests were able to relax and mingle for a while and I was able to capture lots of candid shots and emotions.
There were a small selection of group formal group shots which the bride had specified and then we moved on to the venue, stopping off at the banks of Lake Zurich for a quick photo opportunity.
Then we arrived at the Spectroom and had plenty of time to wander around and pick out great photo opportunitities for the rest of their romantic coverage.
After the meal it was announced that I was available to take guests photograph utilising the showroom as a portrait studio. This was really well received and very entertaining, especially with some of the language barriers.
After a long, but extremely enjoyable day of shooting there were just a few more finishing touches to capture, before a well deserved rest.
I really enjoyed my stay in Switzerland and it was a real honour to play a part in Andrea and Reto’s wedding day.

RT Weddings Advertisement for July
June 25, 2008 on 4:30 pm | In Wedding Shows and Magazines | Comments OffThis is my latest magazine advert for the next issue of Your Herts & Beds Wedding magazine and An Essex Wedding magazine. I try to change the design every issue to keep things looking fresh.
The advert should symbolise the fun of the day as well as the stylish nature of the photography.
