The 2008 wedding season has begun!
May 5, 2008 on 1:43 pm | In Weddings Revealed |After a winter break of snowboarding and relaxation, I have had to dust off my equipment and jump back into the swing of things. It’s time to get out there and take photographs, yes it is the wedding season!
My first wedding was on 3rd of May for Deborah and Chris, taking place at St. Mary’s Church Saffron Walden ( http://www.stmaryssaffronwalden.org) and then on to Great Hallingbury Manor ( http://www.greathallingburymanor.com/).
Sometimes simplest of backgrounds can really make a photograph stand out and add more depth like the one above of the Groom and his best men.
I took the majority of formal group shots at the location of the church as I was aware that Great Hallingbury Manor was undergoing a slight make over and some of the gardens were still being restored and constructed. To my surprise I did manage to find a couple of good backdrops with some tight focusing and clever cropping.
I am always fond of using natural backgrounds. I love the countryside effect that is created, and by slightly blurring the background a greater depth is added, and any distractions to the eye are removed.
The inside of the venue was very pleasing to the eye and everyone at the wedding seemed to be enjoying themselves. As always, I was with the couple from dawn til dusk (well almost, from 10am - 9pm) and was really able to capture the story of their wedding.
After a long day the party still continues… I made sure the photos were on-line for Deborah and Chris the next day so they could take a peak before their honeymoon.
