Wedding Photography at Brightlingsea and Great Bentley, Essex
April 22, 2008 on 6:16 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | No CommentsLast season I photographed this wedding in Brightlingsea and Great Bentley Village Hall in Essex for Amber and Robert. I have only just added this wedding as I didn’t have the blog facility in place when at the time of the wedding. It was a lovely summers day although quite windy too.
I arrived at the bride’s home in Brightlingsea nice and early and captured some getting ready shots. We also did some portraits in the garden too, before moving on to the church to capture some shots with the boys.
The ceremony took place at All Saints Church in Brightlingsea, Essex.
The flower girl was the couple’s daughter Ruby and she was very well behaved too! We did the group photographs at the church before moving on to the reception at Great Bentley Village Hall.
The couple had a vintage Rolls Royce so we took this a photo opportunity.
Back at the village hall we captured the speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance as well as setting up the mobile portrait studio for all the guests to take advantage of.
I really enjoyed photographing Amber and Roberts wedding.

Wedding Photography at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding, Essex
April 19, 2008 on 5:44 pm | In Customer Weddings Revealed | No CommentsThis wedding took place last season at the Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding in Essex before I had this blog facility up and running, hence my delay in posting this article. It was a “very wet” summers day so the majority of photography for Zoie and Ricky took place indoors.
I arrived at the Reid Rooms nice and early to capture the bride getting ready. The girls were all in the cottage which is a short wall to the chapel and the Reid Rooms barn and hall.
There were quite a few children at the wedding so I made sure I took lots of photos.
The bride looked fabulous in her dress and we took a couple of shots before moving on to the ceremony.
The registrar said I could only photograph from the back of the ceremony which was a pity as I like to capture the expression of the couple through-out. There was a very short gap in the rain just after the ceremony which gave enough time to capture the aerial group shot before going inside for the smaller groups.
Later in the afternoon there was another 5 minute dry spell so we did the confetti shot and I took the couple around briefly for some romantic shots.
I covered the speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance, plus set up my mobile portrait studio for some extra special shots.
I am looking forward to the next wedding at the Reid Rooms as I would love to photograph a wedding there in the dry. The grounds are really lovely and it was sad that the weather wasn’t dry for the couple. We had fun, the couple were great and I took lots of extra photos to compensate for it.
